Fuji Club
Fuji Club members working on a crafts project under the guidance of Jean Higa.
The Fuji Club helps develop skills in young girls for leadership in our temple and our community. The girls age are 8 to 13 years old. The Fuji Club meets on the 2nd Friday in the YBA Hall ECHO room. Girls can join by just coming to the meeting.
Jean Higa is in charge of the club and she can be reached at 650-968-2532. Please call if you are coming for the first time because sometimes Jean has to change the meeting date.
“We try to make things or cook things that are from our Japanese culture. We also make a project for the Keiro luncheon. We are responsible for Hanamatsuri including decorating the hanamido. Some times we get ideas from church members that are willing to teach us a craft or cook a food. We do the Christmas party cooking for all the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl scouts.” – Jean Higa
